About our product
Bring the charm of a classic river steamboat into your home with the LEGO Ideas River Steamboat (21356) building set for adults.
This detailed display model is built to minifigure scale and brings the atmosphere of an old paddle steamer beautifully to life. The model is designed as a restored entertainment boat with authentic details, making it a perfect decoration for a room, office or gathering space.
The boat is full of working features to discover. When you move the model over a surface, the paddle wheel starts moving via the steam engine. You can also turn the ship's wheel in the wheelhouse, or use the button on the outside to operate the rudder.
You can also raise and rotate the boarding boards and lower the anchor. This way the model not only feels nice to build, but also fun to view and use up close.
The interior consists of several removable parts. At the top you will find the wheelhouse, crew cabin and bathroom. The main deck houses a music stage and restaurant, while the boiler deck contains a kitchen and steam engine museum.
In the museum you will discover a working LEGO piston, a Watt steam engine and other details that refer to the history of steam technology.
With 4,090 parts, this set offers a large and gentle building project for adult LEGO fans, boat enthusiasts, history buffs and collectors of special display models.
You can use the building instructions digitally via the LEGO Builder app. There is also a booklet with building instructions, information about river steamboats and an interview with the fan designer of the set.
